Our Story

Welcome to Blossom Motor Co a family run garage based in Manchester city centre offering MOT's, services and repairs to all vehicles.

We've been around for a while so we know our stuff! In 1948 Harry Meachin moved from Cheetham Hill to Gun St and took over the garage which had been established in 1933. Both of his sons Ron and Mert who were tool makers in the Second World War worked alongside him. The two sons took over the business mid-60s when most of the business came from Old Smithfield Market and local businesses.

Ron's son Sean joined the family business in 1979 followed by his younger brother Paul in 1981. Sean and Paul took over the running of the garage in 1994 when Ron retired. In 2009 Sean qualified as an MOT Tester and they set up a test lane. Today the garage is run by Sean and Paul with some help from 'Uncle Mert' (who still goes to work everyday at the age of 89). The garage does a lot of work for local businesses as well as people from
all over Manchester, the city centre location is perfect for people working in the area.
